These terms govern your use of mikeching.com ("the site"), operated by Mike Ching. By accessing the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Services

I provide gem capture (turntable video, stills, and related media), digital catalog development, custom in-house tools for dealers, and trade-related content. The site showcases work, published articles, and stones that may be available for inquiry. Operating locations: Sydney, AU · Prague, CZ · Colombo, LK. Stone listings and inquiries

• Catalog entries are for information and inquiry unless explicitly marked sold or otherwise stated.
• Availability, price, treatment, and certification must be confirmed directly before any transaction.
• Submitting a contact or inquiry form does not reserve or purchase a stone.
• Media is designed to represent colour and appearance faithfully but screens vary; in-hand inspection is encouraged where practical.

Export and licensing

NGJA export licence - application in progress. Until issued, any export of rough or faceted material from Sri Lanka will be handled in compliance with applicable local law and, where required, through licensed partners. Nothing on this site constitutes a guarantee of export clearance or lab certification until confirmed in writing for a specific stone.

Intellectual property

Site design, capture workflows, written content, and original photography and video are owned by Mike Ching or used with permission. Client stone media may be shown with permission for catalog purposes. You may not copy, scrape, or redistribute site media for commercial use without prior written consent.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, or compromise the site or its infrastructure.
• Do not submit false, misleading, or unlawful inquiries.
• Do not use automated tools to harvest inventory data at scale without permission.

Third-party links

The site may link to Instagram, client sites, or other external resources. I am not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is". I do not warrant uninterrupted access or that descriptions are error-free. Gemological opinions in blog posts are educational and not a substitute for independent laboratory reports.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mike Ching is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Liability for direct loss is limited to the amount you paid me for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the event, or AUD $100 if no fee was paid - whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Courts in Sydney, Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you access the site from elsewhere, you remain responsible for compliance with local laws.

Changes

I may revise these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
